Krysia Canvin

A Senior Researcher for DIPEx since 2007, Krysia is a law graduate

who studied the experiences of pregnant women in prison for her

PhD. Her main research interests are vulnerable and marginalised

groups' experiences of health, illness and public services. She

conducted most of the interviews.

Maria Salinas

Maria is a social anthropologist who has worked as a Senior Researcher at DIPEx Health Experiences Research Group since 2002. This is her fifth ‘Young People’s Health’ research project that she has led for www.youthhealthtalk.org. She obtained her D.Phil from the University of Oxford in 2000.

Laurel Edmunds

Laurel has researched obesity in children and adolescents over 17 years. She has studied their dietary/physical activity behaviours and the psycho-social implications of overweight for both parents and children, particularly as part of interview based research. She conducted the interviews with parents.
